See the Country the Way Its Locals Do

Travel plans built around locally owned stays under $100 a night, and the restaurants the neighbors actually eat at.

Columbian Nomad plans trips across the United States with one rule above the rest: every stay and every table is locally owned. No national chains, no franchises, no out-of-state parent company. We plan the trip, hand you each owner's contact details and your own rate code, and you book directly with the business.

That keeps your money in the town you came to see, and it keeps the trip honest. We are never paid to recommend a place, and a partner that stops meeting our standards comes off the list.

Our Standards

Three Rules Behind Every Plan

Locally owned

Every stay and restaurant is owned within one state, with no multistate or international parent company and no national brand or franchise.

$100 a night or less

Partner stays offer Columbian Nomad travelers $100 per night or less, after taxes and fees. The rate on your plan is the rate you pay.

Planning, not booking

We never book for you. Your plan lists each owner's contact details and a unique rate code for every stay, so you deal with the owner directly.

A Note on Partners

Some hotels pay for extra visibility. Their listings carry a Featured Partner label, on this site and in everything we publish.

Paying buys visibility, never a recommendation. A partner that fails our standards is removed, whatever it pays.
